​Teaching Professional - Katie Caderao, LPGA
Katie is a lifelong learner of golf instruction and continues to read, collaborate, and learn from instructors that she has worked with as well as LPGA professionals near and far. Her membership with the LPGA allows her to connect and stay current on best practices and
strategies in teaching. Katie uses the student centered approach to teaching first getting to know each individual, their experience, equipment, and preferred learning style. Next, she and the student set goals, both immediate and long term that they can measure over time. Finally, using modeling, imagery, and drills to create an improvement strategy that works. Most of all students should have fun and leave the lesson tee with specific strategies to practice and understand on their own. Have fun, walk fast, go low!
The psychology of golf, or mental game, has always been fascinating to Katie. During her lessons she can be heard giving some mental advice along with those swing techniques. Each student thinks differently, prepares differently, visualizes a little differently. This is usually a fun
exploration and definitely an important aspect of learning the game.
